Precious Metal Induction Melting Furnace
Precious-metal melting needs a small, clean heat and a temperature that stops where the alloy requires it. The catalogue shows a 1 kg class gold furnace with a maximum around 1150°C, plus 15 kW and 25 kW induction melters for gold and silver. The 15 kW set is listed around 1–3 kg of gold or silver on single-phase 220 V. The 25 kW set is listed around 3–5 kg on three-phase 380 V. Frequency is about 30–100 kHz. These kilogram figures are not the kilowatt figures. Copper and other non-ferrous heats can be quoted on the same family when the crucible and the coil match the metal.
