Medium Frequency Induction Melting Furnace
This page is the melting system, not only the power supply. A KGPS medium-frequency furnace for cast iron, steel, copper, brass, aluminum and stainless steel is quoted as a package: power cabinet, capacitor bank, furnace body, crucible, reduction gear and water-cooled cable. Catalogue lines run from about 0.5 tonne upward. Energy per tonne and melting time are printed in the catalogue and change with the metal. What to check before you enquire
- Steel-shell or aluminum-shell furnace bodies as specified.
- Capacitor cabinet is part of the KGPS set.
- kWh per tonne is not the same for steel and aluminum.
- Smaller heats use the IGBT furnaces.
